Dudhkunda Khaling Rai trail (11 days)
Dudhpokhari is claimed to be at an altitude around 5,300 meters from above the sea level. Thurchu which is the base camp of Dudhpokhari and Namun La Pass is the center point of Lamjung, Manang and Kaski Districts and is claimed to be around 4,500 meters above the sea level.
People know very little about this place. It’s one of the most scenic destinations of the world where tourist has rarely trekked. Nature and culture are the furthermore specialties of this area with plenty of options for tourist. This could be a new route of trekking for the Annapurna Region of Nepal.
Khaling Rais are dominant class of this area. They have their own language and proactive both in joint and nuclear family ties. Chhan (locally fermented millet/rice wine) is an indispensable part of their food and culture the Bhume Dance, the Chandi Dance and the Naghi Pooja are some of their major rituals. These highlanders (Khaling Rais) believe that it is essential to worship their anestores and the earth deity in order to continue human existence. Despite being belonged to Kirant ethnic group, the Khaling Rais celebrate the Hindu and Bhuddhist festivals as well

Detail Itinerary of Dudhkunda Khaling Rai trail:
Day 01: Fly from Kathmandu to Phaplu which takes 35 minutes.
Day 02: Trek from Salleri to Takshindu via Ringmo and it takes about four hours.
Day 03: Trek from Takshindu to Beni via Sahasra which takes about seven hours.
Day 04: Trek from Beni to Dudhkunda and it takes about four hours.
Day 05: Trek from Dudhkunda to Takshindu which takes about nine hours.
Day 06: Takshindu to Thulo Dhunga via Nungthala and it takes about seven hours.
Day 07: Trek from Thulo Dhunga to Sombare which takes about seven hours.
Day 08: Rest day at Sombare. You visit Khaling museum at Sombare.
Day 09: Trek from Sombare to Ratnange via Changmiteng and it takes about four hours.
Day 10: Trek from Ratnange to Phaplu which takes about three hours
Day 11: Fly from Phaplu to Kathmandu and it takes approximately 35 minutes.
