Helambu Trek 08 days

Helambu trek is one of those short treks that bring into highlight the scenic beauty of rural Nepal life. This trek leads you through the rice terraces, green valleys, dense forests of oak and rhododendrons with the back drop of the majestic Himalayas.

The Helambu region is situated in the north of Kathmandu. Primarily inhabited by the Sherpas and Tamang communities will heartily welcome you. You can enjoy their simple but serene life of the people of the Helambu region. It is interesting and fascinating to watch the farmers toil in the fields still using their hand made tools and water buffaloes.

It is a low altitude trek and offers a wondrous trip to the rugged but one of the most beautiful terrains in the world.

Detail Itinerary of Helambu Trek:

Day 01: Arrive in Kathmandu International Airport. Transfer to the hotel and stay overnight at hotel in Kathmandu.

Day 02:  City sightseeing in and around Kathmandu valley (Kathmandu, Bhaktapur & Patan).Stay overnight at hotel in Kathmandu.

Day 03: Drive from Kathmandu to Sundarijal (1350m.) and it takes about one hour.

Day 04:  Trek from Chisopani to Kutumsang (2446m.) takes about seven hours.

Day 05: Trek from Kutumsang to Magen Goth (3514m.) takes about three hours.

Day 06: Trek from Magen Goth to Melamchi Gaon (2640m) via Tharepati Pass (3650m.) which takes about six hours. 

Day 07: Trek from Melamchi Gaon to Tarkeghyang (2743m.) and it takes about six hours.
Day 08: Trek from Tarkeghyang to Shermathang (2621m.) takes about four hours.

Day 09: Trek from Shermathang to Melamchi Pul Bazaar (846m.) and it takes approximately five hours.
Day 10: Drive from Melamchi Pul Bazaar to Kathmandu takes about six hours.

Day 11: Recreation & shopping day in Kathmandu. Stay overnight at hotel in Kathmandu. 

Day 12: Transfer to the Airport for final departure (Fly out from Kathmandu).
