Everest Base Camp Trek

Overview And Highlights Book This Trip

The Everest Base Camp trek is one of the most popular treks in Nepal that takes you through the majestic Himalayan mountains to the base camp of the world's highest mountain, Mount Everest. The trek usually starts from the town of Lukla (2,805m), which is accessible via a short flight from Kathmandu, the capital city of Nepal.

The trek is known for its stunning scenery, with snow-capped peaks, rugged terrain, and picturesque villages. The trail passes through the Sagarmatha National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage site that is home to a diverse range of flora and fauna, including rare species like the snow leopard and the Himalayan black bear.

Along the way, you will stay in teahouses, which are basic lodges that offer simple accommodation and meals. You will also have the opportunity to interact with the local Sherpa people, who are renowned for their mountaineering skills and hospitality.

The highest point of the trek is Kala Patthar, which stands at an elevation of 5,545 meters and offers stunning panoramic views of the Himalayan range, including the iconic peak of Mount Everest (8,848.86m.). The trek is considered moderately challenging, and trekkers are advised to be in good physical condition and to acclimatize properly to avoid altitude sickness.

Overall, the Everest Base Camp trek is a once-in-a-lifetime experience that offers an unforgettable adventure in one of the most beautiful and awe-inspiring regions of the world.
