Saribung Peak (6346m) is a newly opened trekking Peak situated in the Damodar Himalayan Range along the Nepal-Tibet border in a corner of the Upper Mustang, the last forbidden kingdom. Government of Nepal has started to give permission for Saribung climbing (expedition) only in 2006. Saribung expedition is quite interesting and unique because this expedition route includes Upper Mustang and Nar Phu Valleys, which are two different restricted trekking regions in Nepal and adds intangible value for this trip. Since this expedition started recently, not many people have climbed it. However, it is gaining popularity every year among adventure seekers and nature explorer.
Saribung Expedition includes the beautiful landscapes, several villages, monasteries, dry stretched rugged terrain and glacier. This trip is highly recommended for keen photographers who love to capture the beauty of the spectacular Mountain scenery. Though this trip doesn’t require special technical skills, it is considered as a challenging due to the altitude variation and its remoteness.
Basic climbing gears are enough for this trip. To arrange a successful mountain climbing, it is very important to adjust your body’s adaptability to altitude. Thus, we have prepared a 26 day long Saribung expedition (Peak climbing) package. Trekking starts from Jomsom and ends at Bhulbhule after the summit of Saribung. This itinerary is already followed by our previous groups. However, we are flexible in itinerary and ready to customize the program according to your requirements. Our climbing team includes professional climbing guide (Sherpa) and high altitude porters for this expedition. Adequate safety measures and proper climbing gears are never compromised.
